About Alexander Wade

Alexander (“Alex”) M. Wade is a partner with Middlebro’ & Stevens LLP.

Alex was born in Markdale and raised in Owen Sound.  He attended Trent University, graduating with Honours in Political Studies (2007).  After spending a number of years working in Western Canada and overseas, Alex attended Lakehead University’s Bora Laskin Faculty of Law, as part of its inaugural class.  Alex summered with the firm and, after graduation, joined Middlebro’ & Stevens LLP upon his call to the bar (2016).  He became a partner in 2020.

Alex is focusing his practice in Family Law, but also in the areas of Civil Litigation, Construction Law, Corporate & Commercial, Medical Professional Corporations, Real Estate, and Wills & Estates, among others.  He is also a Provincial Offences Prosecutor for local Municipalities and some Ministries, and is also doing some Provincial Offences defence work.

Alex has also completed his Collaborative Family Law Training – Levels One and Two.  He has joined the Ontario Association of Collaborative Professionals and, more locally, the Collaborative Family Law Group of Grey/Bruce.  Alex is very excited to offer this novel mechanism of resolution to his family law clients, particularly in the areas of custody and access.

Alex is married, with two young children and a dog.  He enjoys reading, gardening, “diy” projects, as well as a number of recreational sports, such as scuba diving, snowboarding, stand up paddle boarding, hiking, mountain biking, and golf.
