About John Baynham
John is an award winning financial planner and was named one of Wealth Professional Canada’s Rising Stars in 2021. FP Canada gave him an award for achieving the highest marks in Canada on the exams to become a financial planner. John won an industry pioneer award and has been nominated as entrepreneur of the year.
John is a Chartered Investment Manager® (CIM®) and Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) who started Retirement Income Group in June of 2019 and leads a team providing wealth management services to families and businesses.
John started his career in 2015 and previously worked in the wealth management division at one of Canada’s big 5 banks creating customized wealth management strategies for the bank’s high net worth and corporate clients.
John is passionate about philanthropy and financial literacy. He sits on the Board of Directors at the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region and is the Chair of the Foundation. He co-founded a financial literacy website and previously sat on the Board of the Whitby Chamber of Commerce.
