About

The BC Amateur Sport Fund is the BC chapter of the Canadian Council of Provincial & Territorial Sport Federations, a Registered Canadian Amateur Athletic Association with charitable status (CRA number 88938 6868 RR0001). The BC Amateur Sport Fund is administered by Sport BC to promote participation, competition, and governance in amateur sport across Canada.

Working in partnership with Provincial Sports Organizations and community sport clubs, BCASF enables donors to support projects which benefit amateur sport initiatives that are close to their hearts. BCASF can issue an official tax receipt for qualifying donations.

Our Impact

Since 2016, more than $10 million has been raised to support projects registered with BCASF! The Fund has granted funds to 34 communities across BC as well as many province-wide initiatives. More than 50 different sports, ranging from soccer, hockey and golf to squash, wrestling and rowing have raised funds through a partnership with BCASF!

How your gift will be used

You can benefit any group affiliated with a Provincial Sports Organization that is a member of Sport BC, or a Provincial Sport Organization itself.

It is easy to create a legacy for your sport by making a gift in your Will to the BC Amateur Sport Fund and designating it to the member organization of your choice. There are 72 Provincial Sport Organizations who are members of Sport BC, and many thousands of clubs affiliated with those PSOs!

Projects supported through the BC Amateur Sport Fund include capital projects, programs for disadvantaged youth, scholarships and bursaries, and subsidies to keep the cost of sport participation affordable to all.

For further details about how your legacy can help promote and develop sport for future generations contact your Provincial Sport Organization (you can find a list here: Members – Sport BC) or Michael Peters at michael.peters@sportbc.com.
