About
Since opening our doors in 1965, we at Bow Valley College have prided ourselves on being a student-focused community college. Our new strategic direction — Open Doors-Open Minds — ensures that students remain at the centre of what we do. We are an institution that believes our students can learn, regardless of where they are beginning. We help our students achieve their goals and secure the jobs they aim for. Employers see us as the go-to resource for their labour force needs.
Together, with your support, our students will get access to affordable post-secondary education and be work-ready upon graduation, equipped with the right knowledge, skills, and attitude to be successful. We are committed to ensuring our students have valuable work-integrated learning options as part of their learning so they are productive on the job on day one.
We will challenge thinking, remove barriers, provide opportunities, and make all learning for all students count for generations to come. This is only possible with your support.
As a donor, you have the power to shape the future of our economy by supporting college education. Your legacy can ensure access to post-secondary education remains attainable for all students for generations to come.
Our Impact
Over 900 courses empower our students to access jobs in critical entry and mid-level careers in health, community services, business, justice, information technologies and in other areas that support every industry in Alberta.
At Bow Valley College, we are proud to say that our overall graduation employment
rate is 86 per cent. And our student satisfaction rate is 92.5 per cent. Those are high marks — made possible by donors like you.
For every $1 invested in a student’s education at Bow Valley College, the student will receive $4.60 in future earnings. This is the return on investment in education at Bow Valley College.
Erinn-Joy Mediran-Canda, a Business Administration Diploma graduate in 2019, knows this return on investment well. She began her career just one month after graduation and later became one of our donors. “I was a recipient of other people’s generosity when I received a student award in 2019, so I thought this was the perfect time for me to give back the blessing I once received.”
Join us in supporting students like Erinn. Help us open more doors and minds to the potential and opportunities emerging in Alberta today.
