About
Every year in Saskatchewan, 6,100 people will hear, “You have cancer.”
You can only hope that if and when those words come, that you are armed with the best oncologists, advanced and innovative technology, and the latest research – to achieve the best outcome possible.
The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency provides dedicated and compassionate cancer care to the people of Saskatchewan. To focus on their mandate, the Agency developed a cancer foundation and on January 1, 2019 the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan was launched.
The Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan is the only fundraising partner of the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency. Every dollar you donate stays here to support the cancer care needs of the people of Saskatchewan. This includes leading edge treatment and care, early detection, research and prevention right here at home.
Our Mission

Our Vision
World-class cancer care and prevention for the people of Saskatchewan.
Together we will change what’s possible for cancer patients in Saskatchewan.
Our Impact
Cancer does not just impact the physical body. It impacts emotions, relationships and lives. At the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan we want patients and families to know – they are not alone.
Areas we have invested in for cancer patients:
Saskatoon Cancer Centre and Allan Blair Cancer Centre – $4 million to purchase two new 4D CT Simulators for precision mapping of cancer prior to radiation treatment; New HDR Brachytherapy Suites for targeted internal radiation therapy.
Regina Cancer Patient Lodge – more than $1.5 million directed to the renewal of the 38-year old Lodge.
Provincial Breast Screening Bus Campaign – $2 million to replace the Bus that provides over 8,000 mammograms annually to women living in rural and remote areas in Saskatchewan.
Cancer Research – over $900,000 invested in clinical trials and new lab equipment like the NexGen Sequencer for DNA testing of blood cancers and tumours for best cancer treatment outcomes.
Cancer Patients Care & Comfort – to help ease the burden of cancer. Purchases like nutritional needs, wigs, wellness programs and financial support for gas, groceries, parking and Christmas hampers.
This impact speaks to the very heart of our work – which is helping cancer patients in Saskatchewan.
