About
Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada is our country’s leading charity dedicated to standing up for children and families involved in the child welfare system and standing alongside youth with lived experience. We raise and grant funds and deliver a wide range of high-impact programs and services in partnership with 104 child- and youth-serving agencies across the country. Last year, we supported over 15,000 children, youth and families.
Stand Up for Kids is our national public movement uniting caring Canadians in changing the futures of our nation’s most vulnerable kids – those who have experienced abuse and neglect. We know that by helping these young people to overcome their trauma and break the cycle for future generations, they gain the strength and resilience to create a lifetime of their own unstoppable successes.
Our Impact
Since the launch of our Stand Up for Kids movement, we have supported over 125,000 vulnerable children and youth by strengthening at-risk families, supporting kids in care, and empowering youth as they transition from the child welfare system to independent living.
Last year we helped:
- 2,800 children and families at risk, connecting them to the life-changing resources and programs
- 8,366 children and youth in care across Canada find hope for a brighter future
- 3,936 youth access the resources they need to establish meaningful, fulfilling lives after care
