About Children’s Design International Collection / Collection internationale Desseins d’enfants
We collect and preserve these amazing drawings kids make. We make them available to the general public and to researchers, for the benefit of future generations. Our educational archives give children an enduring collective voice today and in the distant future. Our three basic program areas are:
- Collection
- Conservation
- Access and Education
Our Impact
A specialized resource, our collection and database are available to scholars in the humanities, for their research and publishing activities.
We make families happy that they did not have to discard their kids “masterpieces”. We give grownups reasons to be moved and proud of the memories they share.
How your gift will be used
With a legacy gift, we aim to implement and maintain the standardized Rules of Archival Descriptions (RAD), in our operations. We would like to be able to provide contributors with pre-stamped envelopes and host users at our own display space.
We would also hire staff to process items, curate the collection, use our own oversize scanner, as well as develop new partnerships.
