About Golf Canada Foundation
Golf Canada Foundation’s mission is to inspire young players to build strong core values and character while living a healthy lifestyle. As a registered Canadian Amateur Association, the Foundation delivers a mandate to raise and grant funds for the advancement of golf in Canada by awarding scholarships to Canadian student golfers and distributing grants to support initiatives that fall into five key areas: Junior Golf, Collegiate Golf, Women’s Golf High Performance Golf, Golf Heritage.
Our Impact
Golf Canada Foundation continues to gain momentum in all areas from grassroots programming through to high-performance teams. More Canadians are playing on major professional tours and more kids than ever picking up clubs through introductory programs. Golf Canada Foundation has granted over $10.3 million to the sport, funding programs that reduce the barriers of entry to golf through subsidized rounds and $5 green fees to juniors. On average Golf Canada junior initiatives reach approximately 135,000 kids annually, inspired by the performance of Young Pro players winning on the major tours. Since 2014 Foundation-supported Young Pros have won 43 events worldwide across seven professional tours. The Foundation also generates more than $185,000 per year in grants to collegiate athletes and institutions through matching programs.
How your gift will be used
We believe a lasting legacy would first fund grassroots junior programming to ensure kids build strong core values and character while living a healthy lifestyle. And second, a legacy would fund Team Canada to ensure kids are inspired by their heroes to take up a life-long sport and ultimately pursue their dreams whether in golf or in life.
