About Good Shepherd Centres Hamilton
Good Shepherd is the largest provider of health and human services in the Greater Hamilton Area. Our work is based on a commitment to restoring hope and dignity to the most vulnerable members of the community. Originally established in 1961 as a men’s shelter, Good Shepherd’s continuum of care has grown to include emergency food and clothing services; emergency shelter for men, youth, women and children, and families; mental health crisis support; education; transitional and supportive housing programs; senior support; hospice palliative care and health clinics. Good Shepherd’s programs and services are provided free of charge and without judgement to anyone in need.
Good Shepherd programs and services inspire real change. Our programming targets the root issues of poverty, homelessness, trauma and illness with a goal of building a healthier and more resilient community now and for future generations to come.
How your gift will be used
Planning for the future is part of everyone’s life (i.e. education, career, retirement). At Good Shepherd, we also like to plan beyond today’s needs. Your planned gift will strengthen the long-term financial security of Good Shepherd by ensuring that we will have the resources needed to continue caring for marginalized families and individuals well into the future. By giving a planned gift, you are planting the seeds for us to help others in our community.
Today. A gift today enables Good Shepherd to meet the immediate needs of the men, women, and children who come to us seeking basic necessities of life.
Tomorrow. A planned gift takes into account your long-term goals. It’s a strategic approach to donating that benefits you and Good Shepherd.
