We help make your charitable giving hyper local, flexible and effective. Through our Vital Signs work, we have in-depth knowledge of Guelph and Wellington County, local charities, and the current needs and opportunities for future growth.

We have specialized knowledge on estate planning and the ways donors can maximize the value of charitable giving. We combine these two areas of expertise to help donors fulfill their charitable goals, maximize tax opportunities, and meet important needs in the community.

Our Impact

Founded in 2000, the Guelph Community Foundation is a charitable public foundation whose purpose is to provide leadership in community philanthropy and enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Guelph and surrounding area.

The Foundation pools the charitable gifts of donors into permanent, interest earning endowments. Currently, the Foundation administers $13.5 million in funds and has distributed $7.4 million to more than 950 community programs since making our first grant in 2000.

How your gift will be used

We will work with you to direct your legacy to support the causes you care about most.

You can choose to support specific charities or causes, or our Community Fund, which will support a wide range of projects for years to come.

Community needs constantly change. We listen to local partners and agencies to identify current challenges to our community’s well-being.

Working with a Community Foundation, you can set up your own endowment fund supporting the community the way you wish. A permanent, named endowment fund can be created with a minimum gift of $10,000.
