Together with the Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont for 45 Years
As a key partner, the Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont (HMR) Foundation has supported HMR in its strategic development planning in order to respond more effectively to patient needs.
Strongly determined to make a difference, the Foundation supports projects for the ongoing improvement of patient care, to enhance teaching and to expand research. The Foundation solicits the financial support of individual donors, private foundations, partners and corporations. Collectively, they recognize the excellence of care provided to patients at HMR, an outstanding hospital centre affiliated with the Université de Montréal.
The Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont (HMR) serves more than a quarter of Montreal’s population and draws in patients from all over Quebec who benefit from its expertise in fields such as hemato-oncology, ophthalmology and nephrology.
In addition to the HMR’s world-renowned expertise in cellular therapy, this Université de Montréal-affiliated hospital centre holds two enviable designations:
- Hematology-Oncology and Cellular Therapy University Institute
- University Ophthalmology Centre
Despite its strategic contribution to the field of health, the past few years have highlighted several major vulnerabilities and challenges that the HMR must address:
- The urgent need to modernize its facilities;
- Staff recruitment and retention;
- The vulnerability of the population it serves.
These findings confirm the importance of the Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont Foundation’s mission. Donations make it possible to provide Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont teams with the facilities, equipment, programs and training required to deliver the best possible care and to maintain its level of excellence.
