About
Island Prostate Centre is the only non-profit that guides and empowers Vancouver Island men and their families as they navigate the uncertainty of a prostate cancer diagnosis. IPC uniquely offers the time and space patients need to explore their options and human supports so they never have to walk alone.
We know that life doesn’t end with a diagnosis. Our organization is ready to support men in living to the fullest at every step of their prostate health journey, whether they are newly diagnosed or living with the disease.
In our 22nd year of operation, it is the strength of our community – through donations, grants and events – that allows us to continue to make the strong impact on the families we help. We offer our services to those who need them at no cost, but providing this support isn’t free. As an independent non-profit, we do not receive government funding. Instead, we depend entirely on the generosity of our donor community—and there’s never been a more momentous moment to give.
Our work is only possible with the help of supporters like you who believe wholeheartedly in our cause. Every dollar of your donation stays right here on Vancouver Island to provide life-changing services in our community.
Our Impact
IPC offers more than just information. We provide guidance in decision-making and time and space to work things through – room that can otherwise be difficult to find.
Because of such tremendous community support, we’ve been an integral part of the cancer journey for everyone who has walked through our doors over the past 20 years – and a resilient force in the lives of Vancouver Island men and their families.
With your help, we’ve deepened the quality of care and expanded our programming to keep pace with the growing need in our community.
Together, we’ll push for what’s next: furthering our reach on the Island and strengthening relationships with our medical partners so they know we’re here to help everyone with a prostate cancer diagnosis, right from day 1.
