March of Dimes Canada (MODC) is a leading national charity committed to championing equity, empowering ability, and creating real change that will help the more than six million people living with disabilities across Canada unlock the richness of their lives. Our mission is to be Canada’s leading service provider, resource and advocate, empowering people with disabilities to live and thrive in their communities nationwide.
We have served people with disabilities in Canada for more than 70 years. Today, we support tens of thousands of people with disabilities and their families each year. This support comes through various programs and services for all ages such as our communication disabilities programs, exercise and mobility programs, employment services, stroke program, transitional skills training, peer support programs, and assistive technology programs.
Our Impact
MODC stands to Empower Ability and Champion Equity through our variety of programs. Through our programs, we focus on developing communication skills, promoting physical activity and mobility, facilitating employment opportunities, enhancing life skills, and fostering social connections. By empowering individuals with disabilities, MODC, helping people with disabilities become active participants in their communities, fostering greater inclusion and participation. Our aim is to impact individuals with all disabilities – we support youth, children, seniors, adults, families, and their caregivers with dozens of programs located in local communities and nationally.
