About Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation

Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH) was built on decades of philanthropy – starting with the generosity of Mr. Arthur Latcham who, in 1967, donated the land upon which our original hospital would be built in 1990.

Today MSH is now one of Ontario’s leading community hospitals serving Canada’s most diverse population in one of its fastest growing regions. With 329 beds, redeveloped facilities, excellent clinical programs and leading health technology, MSH proudly provides care that uniquely combines the scope of a large metropolitan hospital with the warm and friendly touch that only a community hospital can offer.

With a bold new vision of Care Beyond our Walls, MSH is responding to the ever-changing landscape of community health care and its rapidly growing, aging and diverse population and remains committed to putting the patient first by providing care that is better connected to the community. The health of our community is at the heart of everything we do. We are in this together and stronger together.

Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation is committed to partnering with our community to inspire philanthropic donations in support of world class care at Markham Stouffville Hospital.

Our Impact

Government can’t fund all of the hospital’s ongoing capital, equipment, research and innovation and other emerging and priority needs. Year after year generous community support drives innovation and growth and enables exceptional life-saving care and treatment at Markham Stouffville Hospital.
