Our Impact
McMaster has a long proud history of receiving support from gifts left in wills. In fact, the university was founded in 1887 thanks to a gift in Senator William McMaster’s will. This gift and hundreds since then have provided the foundation for McMaster’s success as a research and teaching powerhouse dedicated to creating a brighter world through the art and science of discovery.
