About

Tri-City Transitions Society (TCT) was founded in 1975. It is a respected and established registered charity providing emergency shelter and social support for women and children fleeing family violence and abuse in the Tri-City communities of Port Moody, Port Coquitlam and Coquitlam, Anmore and Belcarra.  Tri-City Transitions supports all individuals who have experienced domestic violence and offers women and children a safe, secure place to rest, rejuvenate, and rebuild their lives. We envision a  diverse and equal society free of abuse. And, aim to be committed to strengthening family and community by breaking the cycle of abuse.

Our Impact

Our community impact continues to be moving forward to create domestic peace by strengthening families and communities by breaking the cycle of abuse.  For 46 years we have empowered clients to build hope, safety and choice into their lives which in turn has provided them with certainty to reclaim a life free from domestic strife and family violence. We believe in the resiliency of individuals and their self-determination and act as a guide in the steps they reclaim.  Our impact is felt throughout the community because return years later to thank us for being there for them in their time of need and for believing in them.

How your gift will be used

As a charity, we rely on charitable donations from the community to continue our critical work. Your will-ed gift to TCT will be used in a special way; we will work with the donors personally to use their gifts for particular TCT services and operations. You choose to simply make it an undesignated gift to TCT of cash, stocks, properties etc.  Or you could designate that you would like their gift to be used to provide support of the transition house, 2nd stage, or counselling and program support for women, children, youth, men, families. At the end of the day, it will certainly be used to break a cycle of abuse in our community
