About
The West Vancouver Foundation is a community foundation that was founded in 1979 by a group of West Vancouver residents that wanted to inspire and steward local philanthropy for local benefit. The West Vancouver Foundation receives donations from local philanthropists & community members and is then able to provide funding to local charities, through various granting programs, to support programs that address community needs.
Our Impact
For over 40 years, the West Vancouver Foundation has been granting to charities that serve those located on the North Shore (North Vancouver and West Vancouver). In 2020 over $1 million was granted out, through 138 grants, through various granting programs including Community Grants, North Shore COVID-19 Response Grant, Neighbourhood Small Grants and the Emergency Community Support Fund (funded by the Government of Canada).
