About
Every year thousands of wild animals across Alberta need our help. With a growing human population and increase in development, wildlife can find it difficult to thrive. Wild creatures are often negatively impacted by human activity, and as a result, many are injured and orphaned. WILDNorth is the only organization in northern Alberta that cares for these unfortunate birds and mammals. Our dedicated staff work diligently to provide medical care to thousands of wild patients, annually, and try their best to return these animals to the wild, where they belong. Established in 1989, WILDNorth also educates thousands of school children on the importance of wildlife in the community.
Caring for our wild neighbours is the responsibility of the entire community. WILDNorth is a charitable organization that depends on financial support from the public to provide compassionate care for injured and orphaned wildlife.
Our Impact
WILNorth is a charitable organization that provides rescue and compassionate care for injured and orphaned wild animals, and educates the public on the importance of wildlife in our community. Annually, WILDNorth cares for over 3,500 wild animals, fields over 13,000 calls on our wildlife hotline and educates over 9,500 Capital Region students. Established in 1989, WILDNorth is the only full scope centre of it’s kind north of Red Deer, Alberta and operates a wildlife hospital in Edmonton, and a Parkland County Rehabilitation Centre.
How your gift will be used
Your generous gift would provide WILDNorth with the needed resources to properly rescue, and rehabilitate, Alberta’s injured and orphaned wildlife. We need to constantly maintain and update rescue and medical equipment, train volunteers, and pay professional staff, to help with our mission.
