Donors help make the difference between good health care and the outstanding care offered at the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital (CPDMH). The CPDMH Foundation was established to strengthen the hospital’s ability to provide high quality health care for patients in Carleton Place and surrounding communities.
Every piece of patient care equipment at our Hospital has been funded by our wonderful donors who have made generous financial gifts.
We offer opportunities to support the purchase of safe, quality patient care equipment, staff education, and renovations and redevelopment to our Hospital and we are accountable to our donors, stewarding with respect, integrity and transparency.
The CPDMH Foundation is a vital link between CPDMH and the diverse and growing communities for which it serves. Through generous donations and strategic partnerships, we raise funds our hospital requires to purchase critical equipment and build infrastructure to meet the healthcare needs of today and create a strong and sustainable tomorrow. CPDMH cares for a catchment area of more than 100,000 patients, their families and friends. Care is delivered around the clock, each and every day of the year. In fact, at any given moment at CPDMH, compassionate care is being given, health care professionals are learning and advancing their skills, and medical procedures are taking place that are benefiting patients here – with quality health care close to home.
Our Impact
We may be a small rural hospital compared to our larger city counterparts, but we are mighty in the services we provide and essential for where our care is needed most—close to home!
In partnership with neighbouring and larger urban hospitals in Ottawa, we play an important part in working as a team to support one another to ensure the communities we serve have the very best of care. Therefore, many of our patients have their emergent care provided at our Emergency Department along with essential pre-op and post-op recovery following day procedures and surgeries delivered onsite or at partnering facilities. Having loved ones close to home and family can make the world of difference to one’s recovery.
