About Blair Smith

Blair brings over 30 years experience in the financial industry.  He works as a Financial Planner with ONYX Financial Group.  ONYX Financial Group is an independent financial services firm located in Winnipeg, Manitoba that is committed to earning and keeping trust by delivering expert advice, guidance, and solutions to help clients achieve their financial goals and objectives.

Our goal is to create written comprehensive financial plans for clients which includes retirement planning, estate planning, and risk management.  Ongoing review and updates of those plans is an important part of our service.  While everyone can benefit from this, clients who seem to benefit most are those who are approaching retirement and business owners who can benefit from this holistic view of complex planning needs.

Blair recently joined the Manitoba CAGP board in the Advisor Engagement role to encourage others in the planning industry to include discussions around philanthropy and planned giving.  It is very rewarding for clients, charities, and advisors to include these conversations in the planning process.
