About Pete Gillespie
Pete Gillespie has been helping individuals and organizations with risk management, wealth accumulation, and wealth distribution for over 30 years. While affiliated with Canada Life, he paired management roles with his personal service to clients. He returned to full-time financial advisory in February 2023. He also served on the board, and as the Canadian president, of GAMA, the life insurance industry’s professional association, and been a featured speaker at LAMP, its annual conference.
Pete has a special interest in complex estate planning, with an emphasis on upholding his clients’ values while supporting their goals and legacies.
In addition to his MBA, Pete has earned his Chartered Life Underwriter designation (CLU) and a Masters of Financial Advisor in Philanthropy (MFA-P). He is a graduate of Western University, with a BA in Economics.
Pete is a member of Advocis, the largest voluntary professional membership association of financial advisors in Canada, and is also a member of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners.
He is involved with a number of local and national charities, including his high school alumni association, and is an active Canadian Blood Services donor.
