Hospice Mississauga provides compassion, support, and advocacy that lessens the distress of serious illness and loss on individuals, families, and the community.
Located in Mississauga, Ontario, Hospice Mississauga has been opening doors in Mississauga and Brampton since 1985. Whether it’s the front door to our day programs or at the homes where we provide care, every door we open is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. For more than 38 years, our professional and compassionate team has delivered on our promise to ensure that people live their final days with grace and dignity. And we deeply understand the impact that an end-of-life experience can have on a person’s family and caregivers.
Throughout the palliative journey we offer spiritual support and access to wellness treatments like aromatherapy, therapeutic touch, and Reiki. And we are one of the few hospice organizations to offer a specialized program for children who are living in a home where someone they love is dying or has died. Finally, our bereavement team works with loved ones to provide support through loss and grief – sometimes even many years thereafter.
Our success is made possible by the generosity of our partners, donors, and the dedication of almost 200 volunteers. Donations to Hospice Mississauga bridge the gap between our exceptional level of care and the funding received from the Ontario Ministry of Health.

Our Impact
One of the only things in life we can be certain of is death and dying and at Hospice Mississauga, we are building compassion and we strive to make every moment matter. And if there is anything that the past two years has taught us it is that a little compassion goes a long way.
Despite the ongoing pandemic-related challenges of the past year, Hospice Mississauga continues to provide and evolve services that address needs in our community. Over the 2021-2022 fiscal year, Hospice Mississauga saw continued growth in all program areas supported by our 24 dynamic and engaged staff totalling over 116 years of combined experience. The team supported 1,161 palliative individuals, 442 bereaved individuals, 723 children, 151 groups inclusive of 1,787 participants and our volunteers provided 5,347 hours of support. Overall, our staff and volunteers supported 2,893 individuals by providing 10,400 in-person visits, video conferences or telephone support, through our Hospice Counselling, Caregiver Support, Help Us Understand Grief (HUUG), Social Connections, Health and Wellness, and Bereavement programs.
