About
Bruyère is a multi-site academic health care organization that is maximizing quality of life and helping people stay at, or return home. We deliver a wide variety of services across four campuses in the Ottawa area in aging and rehabilitation, medically complex, palliative, residential and primary care. Our research leads to constant innovation in the services we provide with a focus on providing care that promotes independence. This work is enhanced by our Foundation that shares our story and raises funds with the support of our generous community.
Our Impact
Bruyère plays a critical role in our capital region’s healthcare system, providing services across our hospital campuses, in Long Term Care (LTC), and supportive and independent living for seniors and vulnerable populations.
Individuals referred to Bruyère have often suffered a loss of independence and function, usually because of a significant medical event or illness. While acute care hospitals save lives, our post-acute care hospitals restore independence and function, providing patients with a bridge to return home.
Driven by learning, research and innovation, our mission is to lead an integrated system of care that maximizes the quality of life and heath potential of our patients, residents and tenants.
