Bruyère plays a critical role in our capital region’s healthcare system, providing services across our hospital campuses, in Long Term Care (LTC), and supportive and independent living for seniors and vulnerable populations.
Individuals referred to Bruyère have often suffered a loss of independence and function, usually because of a significant medical event or illness. While acute care hospitals save lives, our post-acute care hospitals restore independence and function, providing patients with a bridge to return home.
As an academic healthcare organization, Bruyère’s hospitals specialize in the delivery of rehabilitation, complex medical, palliative, and primary care.
Together. Making each life better.
Driven by learning, research and innovation, our mission is to lead an integrated system of care that maximizes the quality of life and heath potential of our patients, residents and tenants.
As an academic health care organization, Bruyère is committed to providing compassionate and holistic care, respecting the dignity and diversity of all. As a Catholic organization, we are inspired by the values and legacy of Mother Élisabeth Bruyère. Our services in aging and rehabilitation, medically complex, palliative, residential and primary care respond to your needs throughout your life.
How your gift will be used
Together, we will continue offering exceptional patient care and fund research to improve the quality of life for our patients and residents.
As we begin to look to the future and the redevelopment of Bruyère we envision a state of the art, single-site rehabilitation hospital that incorporates best-in-class design, forward thinking technology and equipment to not just deliver care, but change the way care is delivered.
With your support, we will design the innovative space to best respond to the needs of older adults in Ottawa. We are determined to continue our leadership in research and teaching, and developing an integrated service model to better address the needs of an aging population. Your gift will give us the means to perform cutting-edge research, share critical knowledge and utilize the most advanced technology and equipment available to treat patients each day.
In short, you will help us ensure that we are adding both years to life and life to years for our patients and residents transforming not only their lives, but those of their loved ones as well.
