As the fundraising organization for the hospital, Burnaby Hospital Foundation bridges the gap between what government provides and what our community needs.
Our purpose is to ensure that Burnaby Hospital is prepared to enhance the health of all generations, which includes raising funds for surgical and medical equipment, advanced technologies, medical education and community health care needs at Burnaby Hospital and other Fraser Health facilities.
Everyday heroes surround and inspire us and drive our passion for what we do. They are the people we meet in the hospital hallways, sometimes they are talented medical staff, sometimes brave-faced patients undergoing treatment.

Our Impact
Burnaby Hospital first opened its doors in 1952, and remains a vital institution, meeting the growing medical needs of the communities of Burnaby, East Vancouver and beyond.
Burnaby Hospital is a community serving a community. Our family of nurses, doctors and health care professionals take great pride in their spirit of innovation and dedicated service to patients. However, they are severely challenged in their ability to provide 21st century care in a hospital that has not received a significant upgrade in 50 years.
What was once a small community hospital, now supports the health and well-being of 500,000 people, the majority coming from the surrounding communities in the Greater Vancouver Area. In addition, Burnaby Hospital has one of the busiest Emergency Departments in the Fraser Health region, receiving 83,000 visits a year.
With the help of our supporters, community, and dedicated health care staff, we strive to provide effective, efficient, high-quality patient care, close to home.
