This is a remarkable setting for prayer and reflection, an exceptional religious heritage site, and a wonderful shrine right downtown.

Marie-Reine-du-Monde Cathedral has been a reliable presence since 1894 at the very heart of a world under constant pressure and upheaval. (or use Mary Queen of the World Cathedral).

You may enter freely all day long. For the believer, it is a unique center for renewal, dedicated to Mary, Mother of God and Queen of the world. At least three Eucharists are celebrated every weekday, and five on Sunday. The sacrament of reconciliation is offered daily. One may also adore Our Lord Jesus Christ, truly present in the Blessed Sacrament in the Assumption Chapel, every day of the week.

The Cathedral enjoys a luminous outreach via 7 hubs of activity, including:

• 1^st : Discovery – Roots which seeks to reveal Montreal’s historical and religious heritage, as well as the contributions of religious communities;
• 2^nd : Social Justice which aims to offer practical support to vulnerable persons and to actively contribute to solidarity in the heart of downtown;
• 3^rd : Welcoming which aims to strengthen connections between the Cathedral and its community so that each of the faithful feels welcome and supported;
• 4^th : Formation which aims to evangelize and proposes a place for renewal, reflection, and formation to nourish faith, the quest for meaning, and commitment;
• 5^th : Communications which aims to raise the visibility of the Cathedral’s activities and services, so as to welcome newcomers to the faith and those searching for meaning;
• 6^th : The Liturgy endeavours to favour liturgical celebrations that are beautiful, deep, yet accessible, at the very heart of the community’s spiritual life;
• 7^th : Management and Finance brings rigorous, transparent, and sustainable management at the service of the Cathedral’s mission and sustainability;
