At Habitat for Humanity Niagara, we know that affordable housing serves as a catalyst for a better life, providing improved social and financial stability for people living across Niagara.
Families in need of better housing partner with Habitat for Humanity Niagara to build a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build better lives for themselves.

Our 2025 Impact Report highlights a year of meaningful progress in building safe, affordable homes and strengthening communities across Niagara.
Here are our highlights as of 2026:
- 85 homes built since 1993, providing safe and affordable housing for local families.
- 441 people, including more than 300 children, have gained a safe and stable place to call home through Habitat Niagara homeownership programs.
- In 2025 alone, four homes were completed, helping four families (11 people, including seven children) become homeowners, while six new homes broke ground.
- Habitat Niagara currently supports 49 families in its Affordable Homeownership Program.
