About
The mission of Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides is to empower Canadians with disabilities to navigate their world with confidence and independence by providing Dog Guides at no cost to them and supporting each pair in their journey together. The largest school of its kind in Canada, Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides is located in Oakville, Ontario with a breeding and training facility in Breslau. Dog Guides in seven distinct programs are provided at no cost to eligible Canadians from coast to coast. From breeding to rearing and training with a life-time of follow-up services, each Dog Guide is $35,000 to train and place.
The foundation relies on donations to provide these special matches and does not receive any government funding.
Our Impact

“On a daily basis, Parade helps me prevent falls by reaching for items and helping clear pathways. She checks on me every morning when I get up and she waits patiently as I go about my daily care tasks waiting for opportunities to assist me. We have become a wonderful team. Parade is an amazing gift that keeps on giving. She has given me a renewed purpose as well as greater independence and confidence in my abilities. I am eternally thankful for Parade!” Kathryn & Parade
