About
Niagara Health Foundation raises and stewards funds to support high-quality patient care, education and research at Niagara Health’s multiple sites – St. Catharines Site, Welland Site, Greater Niagara General Site, Port Colborne Site and Douglas Memorial Site.
We fundraise exclusively for Niagara Health and bring more than 450,000 resident across the region together for a single purpose – to help out local hospitals and their healthcare teams deliver the best possible care, right here in Niagara. The areas of care support include Acute Care, Cancer Care, Cardiac Care, Complex Care, Emergency and Urgent Care, Kidney Care, Long-Term Care, Mental Health and Addictions, Stroke Care and Surgical Care.
The philanthropic gifts raised from individuals, groups and corporations go directly towards:
– Purchasing essential medical equipment and cutting-edge technology at all Niagara Health hospital sites;
– Funding capital development projects, including the construction of new hospital and upgrading facilities; and
– Supporting special patient care programs, scholarships, and bursaries for students and staff studying medical sciences
