About
The Owen Sound Regional Hospital opened in 1986. One of six hospitals operated by Grey Bruce Health Services (GBHS), it serves as the specialist, acute care centre for Grey & Bruce counties.
More than 100 specialist physicians practice at the hospital, including 34 surgeons. A wide range of clinical services are offered, including ambulatory care, oncology, emergency, women and child care, surgical and acute care services, mental health and rehabilitation. A full complement of diagnostic imaging and laboratory testing are available. In addition, the hospital provides dialysis, the Ontario Breast Screening Program and is the designated Stroke Centre for the region.
Our generous community has donated millions of dollars for medical equipment, facility upgrades and clinical staff training through the Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation.
