About
Promised Land Animal Sanctuary opened its gates in 2017 and offers a safe haven to neglected, abused, older and forgotten animals in need. We provide love, shelter, quality nutrition and the best possible veterinary care. Our open, co-grazing setup allows animals to form inter-special bonds and gives an opportunity for close contact with visitors in the animals’ natural environment, where they are free to come and go as they please. We care for horses, donkeys, pigs, goats, sheep, alpacas, a bachelor flock of roosters, guinea fowl, geese and ducks. We also help find homes for dogs and cats and have a feral cat spay/neuter/release program.
Our Impact
Through our public tours and humane education, we strive to sustain and preserve the compassionate human-animal bond that exists in all of us as children. By offering our visitors an opportunity to connect with animals they typically see as food, we are changing hearts and minds in the gentlest way possible. Our sanctuary is currently home to over 100 rescues, all of whom receive individual attention and specialized care, tailored to their unique needs.
