The Ottawa Cancer Foundation is dedicated to supporting people living with cancer, their caregivers and their families by providing the most effective community-based cancer care, resources, and programs.
The Ottawa Cancer Foundation’s programs address the full spectrum of client needs—physical, psychological, emotional, social, and practical—ensuring that no aspect of their well-being is overlooked. Our programs are developed in collaboration with our clients as well as 70+ service providers, healthcare professionals, and community organizations. Our spaces, programs and providers stay informed and grounded in the latest clinical research and evidence, enhancing outcomes and quality of care.
Our Cancer System Navigation programs offers free, personalized support to help navigate the complex healthcare system and find cancer and caregiver resources in the Ontario region that address their needs including mental health, nutrition, fitness, peer support, and financial support.
The Ottawa Cancer Foundation’s programs and resources are completely donor funded, and are available at no-cost and no referral to anyone impacted by cancer in our community.
Our Impact
The Ottawa Cancer Foundation plays a vital role in strengthening our community by ensuring no one faces cancer alone. Through our two Community Cancer Hubs, including our new West End Community Cancer Hub, we supported more than 2,200 individuals last year with compassionate, practical care close to home. On average, we offer over 136 programs each month, providing emotional support, education, movement, and connection for people impacted by cancer. The impact is truly significant. 96% of clients surveyed felt less isolated or alone, 94% reported improved mental health and well-being, and 96% said our services improved their quality of life. Most tellingly, 100% of clients surveyed would recommend our services to others navigating cancer. These outcomes reflect more than participation. They represent restored confidence, meaningful connection, and renewed hope. By meeting people where they are, The Ottawa Cancer Foundation helps build a more resilient, caring community for everyone affected by cancer.

Gifts made through a will are used where the need is greatest, helping to sustain and grow our Community Cancer Hubs and the wide range of programs and services offered within them.
