About
The mission of the Father-Menard Foundation, created in 1970, is to provide financial support and actively participate in the training of humanitarian leaders, both religious and lay, in Quebec and abroad, and in the development of projects to improve people’s quality of life in the long term.
The spiritual support and social and economic development projects carried out by the leaders and supported by the Father-Menard Foundation provide a wide range of assistance to underprivileged populations and have a positive impact on the lives of thousands of people.
Our Impact
For more than 50 years, several initiatives have been launched to improve the living conditions of disadvantaged communities in Peru, Brazil, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Cameroon. We have supported the construction and implementation of:
- Community kitchens for poor children.
- A home to take care of the sick, abandoned and poor.
- Drinking water and sanitation systems.
- Educational and rehabilitation centers for children and young people who have lived on the streets.
- Rehabilitation centers for drug addicts and alcoholics.
- Centers for children from dysfunctional backgrounds to prevent them from joining criminal gangs.
- Health centers to serve populations in remote areas.
- Schools and community centers to provide education for children, young people and adults living in villages and slums.
