L’Arche London provides a vibrant community life, homes, and programs for people with and without intellectual disabilities.
Across Canada and around the world, L’Arche creates communities of friendship and belonging. In L’Arche, people with and without intellectual disabilities live, work, learn, and grow together. L’Arche demonstrates that when persons with intellectual disabilities take their place at the table, they contribute to a more just, compassionate, and vibrant world for all. L’Arche London is founded on the values of inclusion and is one of over 149 communities worldwide where people with and without intellectual disabilities live and share life together.
“We’ve been so pleased to be part of the L’Arche community for much of its local London, Ontario history. Both of us were introduced to L’Arche by our parents, Vince and Carole McGeough, who were incredibly passionate about the organization during their lives. With L’Arche, we’ve found friends, support, new and enriching artistic pursuits, and a network of wonderful and caring people. It has been awe-inspiring to witness how the community has grown over the years and how it has expanded its ability to touch peoples’ hearts and lives.” (Jim and Colleen McGeough)
