About
Welcome to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation!
Since 1984, we have been helping advance health care at Prince Edward Island’s largest hospital by funding much needed medical equipment and technologies. The QEH is the provincial referral hospital for specialized services with many of the Island’s specialists working here. More than 1,000 patients access our hospital every day.
We thank our generous donors who have chosen to make our hospital a priority for their charitable giving to ensure front-line health care workers have the necessary equipment to diagnose, treat, and care for Island families, at home, in PEI.
We are proud of each and every one of the caring and compassionate staff that performs life-changing and life-saving work every day.

- The PEI Cancer Treatment Centre is well-equipped with the latest advanced medical equipment and technology to support the 1,000 Island cancer patients diagnosed annually.
- Neonatal staff in the Provincial NICU is able to provide urgent care to hundreds of the Island’s most fragile babies who require specific neonatal care. Approximately 1,200 babies are cared for annually at the QEH.
- More than $1 million of state-of-the-art medical equipment and technology is now in place for PEI’s cardiac patients. Lives are being saved thanks to the expertise of dedicated staff and though kindness of our cherished donors.
