The Victoria Hospitals Foundation works everyday to champion a culture of philanthropy that transforms healthcare on the Island.
Philanthropy supports equipment, education, research, and special projects for Royal Jubilee (RJH), Victoria General (VGH), and Gorge Road (GRH) hospitals. As referral centres and as the Island’s two largest hospitals, RJH and VGH provide care to over 850,000 people living on Vancouver Island.
Our Impact
Our donors make an impact in every area of care in our hospitals – from newborn care to seniors health. Working with our partner, Island Health, we ensure every gift is directed to where it is needed most in our hospitals – making the greatest impact for patients.
Your support allows our hospitals’ equipment to be purchased more quickly, and ensures our healthcare teams stay on the leading-edge of technology and treatment to provide the best possible patient care. The generosity of our donors has a significant impact on patients in our hospitals. VHF donors fund 40% of the equipment in our hospitals.
