About
YMCA of Northern Alberta has grown a lot since 1907. With your help, we can continue offering YMCA Child Care, child and youth recreation programs, youth and family support, employment, immigrant and housing services in northern and central Alberta.
Our Mission: The YMCA of Northern Alberta creates life-enhancing opportunities for the growth and development of all people in spirit, mind and body.
Our Vision: Strong kids, healthy families, thriving communities.
Our Values: Respect, honesty, caring, responsibility, diversity and social inclusion.
At our Health, Fitness and Aquatics & community centres, we serve more than 12,500 community members and counting. Our facilities are hubs for connection, where all people come together to find belonging and well-being. The YMCA never denies anyone due to an inability to pay.
Our community and housing initiatives offer employment support, youth guidance, leadership and restorative justice, parenting and caregiver care, newcomer settlement, mental health support and housing programs to those who need it most.
YMCA of Northern Alberta is the largest provider of not-for-profit child care in western Canada, serving approximately 2,500 children across 60 childcare centres. The care and development of our littlest citizens is of utmost importance to the future of our communities. We actively advocate for universally affordable, accessible, high-quality child care.
