About
Thousands of patients come through the doors of GBHS Markdale Hospital each year in search of one vital thing: expert, compassionate care. We are a community hospital, and that means we’re here for you and the people you care about. 145 dedicated, highly skilled staff, physicians and volunteers deliver more than 20 clinical programs and services. The Centre Grey Health Services Foundation was established in 1998 to raise funds for medical equipment, facility upgrades and clinical training to empower our staff to offer the best care possible.
Construction of our new, state-of-the-art facility has surpassed 60% completion. Our new hospital features more space, modern design and equipment to provide as much care as possible without requiring an overnight stay. The inpatient spaces, ER, the procedures room – all are being built so they can quickly adapt and respond to emergencies, disasters, or even a pandemic.
The Markdale Hospital is one of six operating as Grey Bruce Health Services (GBHS). GBHS has 1,700 dedicated staff and more than 200 physicians who work together, delivering excellent patient care to residents and visitors across the region.
