Thousands of patients come through the doors of Markdale Hospital each year in search of one vital thing: expert, compassionate care. We are a community hospital, and that means we’re here for you and the people you care about. 145 dedicated, highly skilled staff, physicians and volunteers deliver more than 20 clinical programs and services. The Centre Grey Health Services Foundation was established in 1998 to raise funds for medical equipment, facility upgrades and clinical training to empower our staff to offer the best care possible.
Our new, state-of-the-art facility began serving patients in September, 2023! The new hospital features modern design and equipment to provide as much care as possible without requiring an overnight stay. The inpatient spaces, ER, the procedures room – all can quickly adapt and respond to emergencies, disasters, or even a pandemic.
The Markdale Hospital is a part of Brightshores Health System, which operates 6 hospitals in the Grey Bruce region. Brightshores has 1,700 dedicated staff and more than 200 physicians who work together, delivering excellent patient care to residents and visitors.
