About
London Public Library has been dedicated to the needs of Londoners for over 125 years and is comprised of 16 branches city-wide. Together, we strengthen people and neighbourhoods by creating connections that enrich lives, inspire discovery, foster creativity, and expand possibilities.
The Library offers more than 15,800 adult and children programs each year. Over 174,000 Londoners use their Library card annually and borrow in excess of 3.5 million print and digital items. That’s almost half of all Londoners!
Library Public Library is a place where each and every member of our community, no matter their education level, income, abilities, age or country of origin, feels welcome.
Our Impact
London Public Library works hard to provide the services, resources and social connections our community needs to be the best it can be, individually and collectively.
Young children and new parents are supported in early literacy and learning. Students who may not have access to information and technology at home find the resources and help they need to succeed. Newcomers to the community build linguistic, financial literacy and core employment skills. Adults learn new skills, find cultural enrichment and are provided access to technology to fully participate in our society.
Thanks to the generous support of our community, London Public Library is a centre of literacy, lifelong learning and culture.
