About Meaford Hospital Foundation
Vision: To inspire our community to be passionately invested in quality health care.
Mission: To provide resources to our healthcare professionals to meet the needs of the community.
The Meaford Hospital has been taking care of our community for 70 years. In addition to 24/7 Emergency care, dedicated staff and physicians provide a wide range of primary and ambulatory care to visitors and residents of Grey Highlands, Meaford, Town of the Blue Mountains, and beyond.
Meaford Hospital is one of six Grey Bruce Health Services (GBHS) hospitals serving the Grey Bruce region.
The Foundation works to ensure that our medical team has the equipment needed to deliver the care they are trained to provide. Contrary to popular belief, new medical equipment and other capital needs are NOT covered by provincial funding. Hospitals are 100% responsible for the purchase of equipment, facility improvements and IT. Funds must be raised in the community to buy everything from blood pressure cuffs and patient beds to hi-tech medical imaging equipment.
- 11,597 ER visits

You don’t need to be “wealthy” to make a difference. Your legacy will touch the lives of thousands of patients for years to come. To patients, your gift means faster, more accurate diagnosis, less invasive procedures, increased safety, less pain and quicker recovery. Best of all – a faster return home and to regular activities.
How your gift will be used
We don’t know what our funding priorities will be when we receive your will gift in the future, but you can trust that patient care always comes first. The gift you plan now will ensure the Foundation has the financial resources to respond to any need.
Your Legacy Gift Will:
- Provide stable funding to meet the needs of patients for the long term.
- Help purchase life-saving medical equipment.
- Enable our physicians, nurses and technical staff to provide the best care possible.
- Help attract the medical professionals we so desperately need.
