The Ottawa Community Foundation is a registered charity and one of over 200 community foundations across Canada. Since 1987, we’ve pooled and invested donations from generous people through their donor-advised funds, and have provided $200 million in grants to various charitable causes. By sharing strategic insights about community needs, we connect donors with the charities and causes they are passionate about. Together, we are building a strong and supportive communities for everyone.

Our Impact
More than $200 million into communities
Since our beginning in 1987, empowered by donors, we have contributed more than $200 million in grants to a wide range of causes across our communities. Our donors boost resources on many fronts, from supporting women who flee abuse to the planting of urban forests.
