About
Empowering the Next Generation of CPAs
The CPA Manitoba Foundation is committed to empowering the next generation of accounting professionals, with a strong focus on advancing equity and inclusion in the profession. Our mission is to create opportunities in business and accounting education for aspiring accountants—regardless of their background. Through scholarships, financial assistance, and comprehensive support services, we help them achieve their goals and gain equitable access to a positive educational experience in Manitoba.
Our Impact
Addressing Manitoba’s CPA Shortage
Manitoba currently faces a shortage of more than 200 CPAs, which directly impacts businesses, communities, and the provincial economy. The CPA Manitoba Foundation is addressing this gap by supporting students from underrepresented groups, including Indigenous communities. By broadening the talent pool, we help ensure a stronger, more sustainable future for the profession.
Removing Barriers and Expanding Opportunities
Through initiatives such as scholarships, bursaries, and the Indigenous Learners in Accounting Program, we remove financial and systemic barriers that prevent capable individuals from pursuing accounting careers. As a result, our efforts not only alleviate the accountant shortage but also foster a diverse and inclusive workforce—vital to Manitoba’s economic success.
